• To ensure high quality application models. The inherent high speed of modeling makes it tempting to move too fast forward, affecting quality negatively. A well-defined process is needed to balance quality and speed.
• To be accessible. The process must be clearly documented and easily available. The documentation must be kept short and to the point.
• To be reasonable and flexible. The process must be aligned with the practical needs of the projects and application modelers. The process must be useful.
