Accessing Account Data from Actions

The need for accessing account data from actions was identified during development of a thin web client solution based on MVC .NET. To support role-based authorization in MVC .NET, we had to provide a way to authenticate an account and return some information about the account by defining a Web Service Operation in Genus® Logix.

 

To solve this, a new built-in data source representing an account is now available in action-based concepts such as Web Service, Task, Agent, and Rule.
